Why not return to your God, who is always willing and ready to forgive?
Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to Thursday of the fourth week of Lent Year B. May the Good Lord continue to bless and keep us safe in His love, now and always, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Dear friends, are you too quick to give up the ways of the Lord?
Dear friends, we see how the Israelites, frustrated by Moses’ delay, resort to idolatry by crafting a molten calf. This angered God, but Moses steps in, begging for forgiveness. This story shows how we often drift from the right path, but also demonstrates the significance of repentance and the intervention of leaders like Moses; parents, guardians and friends, in steering us towards goodness.
Dear friends, have you strayed from the right path? Why not return to your God, who is always willing and ready to forgive? On the other hand, do you know any brother/sister who has strayed from the right path? Instead of mocking him/her, why not intercede on his/her behalf?
May we never stray too far from our God as to find it impossible to return to him.
Let us pray.
Heavenly Father,
As we reflect on Your words in Exodus 32:7-14, we humbly come before You, acknowledging our tendency to stray from Your path. Grant us the wisdom to resist the temptation of straying away from Your path and the courage to seek Your forgiveness through repentance. Guide our parents/guardians, family and friends to lead us in righteousness.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Lord be with you.
