TUESDAY OF THE FOURTH WEEK OF LENT B

Let us seek God’s abiding presence in our lives.  For his presence in your life is more than enough.

Good morning, dear friends, and welcome to Tuesday of the fourth week of Lent Year B.  We bless God for His mercies and protection over us throughout last week and for bringing us to another wonderful week; may His name be praised now and forever.  Amen.

Dear friends, the psalmist says, “The Lord of host is with us: the God of Jacob is our stronghold.”

“… The man had a measuring cord in his hand.  As he went towards the east he measured off a thousand cubits and led me across the water which was up to my ankle.  He measured off another thousand cubits and made me cross the water which came to my knees.  He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through the water which was up to my waist.  When he had again measured off a thousand cubits it was a river that I could not cross, for it has swollen to a height which was impossible to cross without swimming.  The man then said to me, ‘Son of man do you see this?’….”

Ezekiel 47:1-9, 12

Dear friends, there is this river flowing from the temple; from the place where God is present.  As it flows, it becomes deeper and wider, spreading life and abundance across the land.  This vision symbolizes God’s promise of spiritual restoration and blessing to His people.  It shows how God’s presence brings renewal and prosperity to the world.  The image reminds us of the never-ending flow of divine grace, encouraging us to dive deep and be changed by its life-giving power.

Dear friends, let us seek God’s abiding presence in our life.  For his presence in your life is more than enough.

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father,

As the river flows from the temple in Ezekiel’s vision, may your abundant blessings flow into our lives.  Deepen our faith, widen our hearts, and let Your presence bring renewal and flourishing.  Help us to immerse ourselves in Your grace and be transformed by Your life-giving force.

Through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

The Lord be with you.
