Dear friends, it is a fact that God never abandons His own.
Good morning, dear friends and welcome to Wednesday of the second week of Lent Year B. May God bless our day and protect us from all adversities. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Dear friends, are you besieged by doubt and adversity? Let us take a cue from Jeremiah, who is known as, “the weeping prophet”.
In these verses, we witness the prophet’s distress as he faces opposition and betrayal from his own people. Despite his faithfulness to God’s message, Jeremiah encounters hostility and conspiracy. His prayer reveals both his vulnerability and his trust in God’s justice, echoing the struggles of those who speak the truth amid adversity. His unwavering trust in the Lord’s deliverance serves as a beacon of light in the midst of despair. Through his example, we are reminded of the enduring power of faith to sustain us through the darkest of times. Jeremiah’s prayer echoes down the corridors of history, offering solace to all who find themselves besieged by doubt and adversity.
Dear friends, it is a fact that God never abandons His own.
Let us pray.
Lord,
In moments of betrayal and opposition, grant us strength to uphold the truth with courage. Help us find solace in Your presence amidst adversity. May we trust in Your justice, knowing that You see all hearts. Uphold us in righteousness, O God, and vindicate us in Your time.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Lord be with you.
