Good evening my dear friends. Hope your day is moving according to the will of the Almighty? May God see us through the remaining hours of the day, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Dear friends, what has he/she done that you cannot forgive?
Matthew 5:23-24
“So then, if you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering.”
Jesus provides us a profound insight into the nature of human relationship and the essence of genuine worship. We need to prioritize harmony with others over ritualistic offerings. This is because in doing so, there is the restoration of communion with the Divine following the restoration of communion with one’s brother.
“He/she does not deserve mercy!”, you say? My dear friends, it is simply because he/she does not deserve mercy that you have to be merciful. For ‘Mercy’ is, “That which is not deserved”.
Let us pray.
Gracious God, teach us to prioritize reconciliation over rituals. Grant us the humility to seek forgiveness and the courage to mend broken relationships. May our offerings be expressions of genuine love and unity, reflecting your transformative grace.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Lord be with you.
