TUESDAY OF THE FIRST WEEK OF LENT B

Good morning my dear friends and welcome to Tuesday of the First Week of Lent Year
B. We ask the Good Lord to begin the day with us and to bless our words and actions throughout this day, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear friends, do you know that, ‘Forgiveness opens the door to God’s blessings and inner peace?’

Matthew 6:14-15

“Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours; but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either.”

This passage highlights the deep connection between forgiveness in interpersonal connection and spiritual perspectives.  It emphasizes how forgiving others allows us to receive forgiveness from a higher source, fostering compassion, healing and reconciliation.  In contrast, refusing to forgive leads to bitterness and blocks the potentials for receiving forgiveness.  This passage serves as a reminder of forgiveness’s transformative ability to promote empathy, comprehension, and inner peace.

Dear friends, why are you still holding on to that hurt?  Let go!  For the sake of your inner peace forgive and dispose yourself to receive God’s forgiveness and blessings.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father,

Grant us the strength to forgive those who have wronged us, just as you forgive us for my own failings.  Help us release bitterness and resentment from our heart, so that we may embrace compassion and understanding.  May your grace guide us in extending forgiveness, knowing that in doing so, we receive your boundless mercies.

We ask through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

The Lord be with you.
